The next meeting of the Southern Illinois Writers Guild will be held on Thursday, August 19. The Guild now meets in Room B48, directly to the left of the Information Desk in the main building of John A. Logan College on Route 13 west of Carterville. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Our August meeting will feature Pamela Hearon, a romance novelist published most recently by Wild Rose Press. Pam's book "His Hotness" was published in March, 2010. Since publishing her first two books, one electronically and one in print, Pam has also signed on with an agent to represent her and her future work. She will be speaking about her recent trip to the RWA conference, about her journey to traditional publishing and finding an agent.
