Book Review by David McKenna:
The Winds of Life are the poetical works of a mature poet who is able to laugh at himself and through himself, at life.
This collection is a journey through a lifetime of everyday occurrences, tenderly and thoughtfully expressed. Reading them is like talking to a good friend while sharing lemonade out of the same “mayonnaise jar” on a porch in a warm summer breeze.
Jim’s work demonstrates to the rest of us that we had better not take ourselves too seriously and yet evokes in us a wariness just under our skin that tells we had better take a good look around
at this world we live in and note what’s going on.
Jim is known among his contemporaries as “the Norman Rockwell of poetry”. If his poetry doesn’t leave you laughing out loud it will leave you smiling at life’s frail oddities.”

I don’t commonly comment but I gotta state appreciate it for the post on this great one
.
His poetry leaves me laughing too…but also pondering life as he sees it, and that is with great humor. The best way.
I agree with the review of this book wholeheartedly and surely wish he would publish another…Soon.
